It consists of a cylindrical drum with grinding media, such as steel balls, that rotate around its axis. The material to be ground is fed into the drum through a feeding port, and as the drum rotates, the grinding media crush and grind the material into fine particles. These mills have a built-in separator that separates the coarse and fine particles.
The coarse particles are returned to the mill for further grinding, while the fine particles are transferred to the product silos. This process is repeated until the desired particle size is achieved.
